To kick off our weekend,
we grilled shish kabobs for dinner....
Next, we had a little surprise for the kiddos...
our pool is officially finished!!
We were told it wouldn't be ready to swim in until Saturday,
but the pool guy called Todd today and said it was ready to go!
So, instead of telling the kids...
Todd thought it would be funny if he just jumped in...
clothes and all.
And oh did it ever get the kids' attention...
they've been asking to swim in the pool since we filled it with water.
Asking every single day
and twice on Sunday.
And the answer has always been
'Saturday'
Todd explained it was ready
and they were in their suits and jumping in
within 2 minutes.
Wish I had said something brilliant like
'You have to clean the house first!'
Could have had the whole place cleaned
in under 10 minutes.
Here's our pet turtle...still working on his name.
It's actually a tile mosaic pointing the way to the stairs.
Sweet moment between these two sibs.
